Following on from training in Macau, I hopped on a short flight over to Bangkok to provide a 1-day SMS Training for Accountable Managers, Nominated Post Holders and Key Executives and a 2-day Understanding Fatigue Risk Management course for delegates from the Civil Aviation Human Resource Development Centre – Indonesia.
It was a joy and privilege to provide the training for these delegates; their warmth and friendship was overwhelming and extremely gratifying.
As our aviation world is so small, I am hoping that I meet these new friends again soon!
The training program in Bangkok included the following courses:
SMS for Accountable Managers Nominated Post Holders and Key Executives
This 1 day training course develops the understanding of the organisations responsibility and how the key managers and executives can play a role in assisting to support and deliver a strong SMS system. In addition we should understand the opportunities presented by SMS as a “Management System” which can be used to improve and develop the business as well as optimize for risk exposure.
Fatigue Risk Management Systems Regulatory Obligations
Fatigue Risk Management Systems (FRMS) is a mandatory obligation placed on the organisation and may be managed as an integrated part of the Aviation Safety Management System SMS.
The course is focused on the process to determine the specific needs of the organisation, to perform a current status gap analysis and builds on the need for a total understanding of the steps required to fully implement and manage an FRMS within your organisation.
